Semex 50th Anniversary: Corporate Anniversary Décor in Guelph

A 50th anniversary is an important corporate milestone. It recognizes decades of growth, strong partnerships and the people who helped shape a company’s story. We were honoured to create corporate anniversary décor in Guelph for Semex, with coordinated installations across a two-day celebration at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Guelph Conference Centre and the company’s main office.

We designed and installed every balloon display, shimmer-wall backdrop and branded anniversary sign shown throughout the event. The red, black and gold palette reflected Semex’s branding while giving each space a polished celebratory look.

A Two-Day Corporate Anniversary at the Delta Guelph

The main celebration took place over two days at the Delta Guelph. Multiple installations carried the anniversary theme through the conference center rather than concentrating the décor in a single area. This gave guests several branded focal points while keeping the overall design consistent.

The stage display paired a reflective gold shimmer wall with an organic balloon garland and a custom 3D printed Semex 50th anniversary logo. Under the ballroom lighting, the shimmer panels reflected gold and purple tones that made the branding visible from across the room.

Branded Backdrops for a Major Company Milestone

Each backdrop had its own placement and purpose, but the repeated colour palette, shimmer finish and custom signage connected the displays. The balloon garlands combined large statement balloons with smaller clusters for texture, creating full frames around the branded focal points.

Another gold shimmer wall featured a custom congratulatory 3D printed sign with an asymmetrical balloon installation. This display used the same red, black and gold combination while offering a distinct composition for photographs and anniversary recognition.

For corporate celebrations, a backdrop should do more than fill an empty wall. It needs to support the company’s visual identity, provide a strong background for guest photographs and look intentional within the venue. Balloon Columns at the Venue and Semex Office

We also created multiple branded balloon columns for the celebration. Their narrow footprint allowed us to add height, colour and company branding in hallways and beside event displays without overwhelming the surrounding space.

Round Semex toppers made the columns immediately recognizable, while alternating red, black and gold balloons kept them aligned with the larger installations. The same styling appeared beside corporate banners and other important areas of the venue.

The anniversary continued at Semex’s main office in Guelph, where additional columns brought the celebration into the workplace. Coordinating the office and hotel décor created a unified anniversary experience for employees and guests across both locations.

A Cohesive Experience Across Two Guelph Locations

A multi-day, multi-location event calls for a design plan that remains visually consistent in different surroundings. The hotel required large focal displays suited to a formal banquet setting, while the office columns needed to work comfortably within active workplace areas. Repeating the colours, anniversary branding and balloon style helped every installation feel connected.
