Rachel’s Respiratory Therapy Graduation Celebration in Guelph

Graduating from college is a major achievement, and Rachel’s celebration deserved décor that felt personal to both her accomplishment and the career ahead of her. For this backyard graduation party in Guelph, we designed and styled every detail around Rachel’s graduation from Algonquin College as a Respiratory Therapist.

Deep green, champagne and white balloons created a refined foundation for the event. We paired the balloon décor with custom respiratory therapy details, personalized signage, faux floral arrangements and 3D-printed pieces made specifically for Rachel.

We provided the complete event styling for this celebration, including the balloon installation, backdrops, tables, chairs, linens, centrepieces, signage and custom decorative elements. Styling the full backyard allowed us to carry the same colour palette and respiratory therapy theme through every part of the event.

The result felt cohesive and elegant while still being completely specific to Rachel. Rather than relying only on traditional caps and diplomas, we used details connected to respiratory care to tell her story.

A Deep Green, Champagne and White Balloon Backdrop

The main balloon backdrop combined deep green, champagne and white in an organic arrangement. Deep green brought richness and depth, champagne added a warm metallic finish, and white kept the display bright against the greenery of the backyard.

We framed the custom backdrop with balloons, draping and floral accents to create a strong focal point for photographs. The asymmetrical placement gave the design movement while leaving the personalized centre panel easy to see.

A Custom 3D-Printed Card Box and Advice Station

One of the most meaningful details was the custom 3D-printed card box featuring lungs and the Algonquin College logo. Guests could leave cards, personal well wishes and advice for Rachel as she prepared to begin the next chapter of her career.

This turned a practical card station into a personal keepsake. It also gave guests a simple way to contribute something lasting to the celebration.

A Personalized Lung Welcome Sign for Every Guest

The welcome sign was another fully custom piece. We created a lung design with individual circular acrylic pieces hanging below it, each displaying the name of a guest attending Rachel’s graduation party.

Including every guest made the display feel thoughtful and interactive. The layered acrylic pieces also added movement and dimension while keeping the respiratory therapy inspiration clear.

Each guest’s name appeared on an individual acrylic circle hanging from the custom lung design.

Faux Floral Centrepieces with Medical Details

We designed and created the faux floral centrepieces in-house. Soft white flowers and trailing blooms added texture to the tables, while deep green runners connected the tablescape to the balloon display.

To connect the centrepieces to Rachel’s field, we added custom 3D-printed medical elements, including an asthma puffer, along with stethoscope details and other respiratory care references. These pieces were noticeable without making the tables feel overly themed. Custom medical props brought Rachel’s future profession into the table décor.

Graduation Styling Designed Around the Graduate

Graduation décor can celebrate much more than the ceremony itself. For Rachel, the lungs, stethoscope, puffer, college logo, guest-name display and written messages reflected the work she completed and the career she was preparing to begin.
